What to expect

  • Departure from Tromsø

    We depart at 08:00 from Kaigata 6, heading straight for the known feeding areas to maximise time with the whales in the polar daylight.

  • Scenic cruise north

    Relax in warm lounges with panoramic windows, passing snow-capped mountains and frozen fjords towards the Skjervøy area.

  • Silent whale encounter

    Switching to electric mode, we approach quietly — watch humpbacks and orcas feed from the spacious outdoor decks.

  • Return to Tromsø

    We cruise back while the crew shares insights about the whales and the Arctic. Total duration 6–9 hours.

Description

Experience the magic of the Arctic's herring-rich fjords. Join our silent whale watching tour from Tromsø for a unique and respectful encounter with magnificent humpback and killer whales in their winter feeding grounds.

Our commitment to sustainability means we use a silent hybrid-electric boat, minimising disturbance and allowing a more natural, intimate wildlife experience — approximately 15% of the tour is powered by the silent electric engine. The vessel is purpose-built for whale watching, with multiple outdoor decks giving everyone ample space and an unobstructed view, and warm, comfortable lounges with panoramic windows for the scenic journey.

  • Departure: 08:00 from Kaigata 6, 9008 Tromsø.
  • Duration: typically 6–9 hours, depending on the whales' location.
  • This is a wild animal excursion in a vast Arctic environment — whale sightings cannot be guaranteed.
  • Season 2025/2026: daily from 9 October 2025 to 31 January 2026. Prime season runs from late October to the end of January.
  • Dress warmly in wool layers; food and snacks can be purchased on board.
  • Pets: friendly dogs and cats are welcome on a leash.
