What to expect

Departure from Tromsø city centre
Meet at Kaigata 2B 30 minutes before departure and settle into our modern minibus (max 15 guests).
Drive to dark-sky locations
We head to remote spots with the best viewing conditions, guided by the latest aurora forecasts.
Warm dinner and campfire
Enjoy a warm dinner, cookies and hot drinks by the campfire in your thermal suit and boots.
Aurora viewing and photography
Your guide captures portraits and aurora photos (available within 48 hours) and helps with your own camera.
Return to Tromsø
After approx. 6 hours we return to the city centre.

Description

This is a fully inclusive northern lights chase! As night falls over the Arctic landscape, we embark on a journey to witness the Aurora Borealis. Tromsø, right inside the auroral oval, offers one of the best locations on Earth for this celestial show.

We drive away from the city lights to remote spots with optimal viewing conditions. Our modern minibuses provide a cosy sanctuary as you travel through the Arctic wilderness — enjoy hot beverages, a warm dinner and a campfire while anticipating the northern lights.

Our passionate guides share captivating tales about the science and folklore of the aurora. When it appears, take your time to soak in the moment while your guide captures unforgettable pictures and portraits of you, and helps you with your own camera or phone.

Good to know

Meeting point: Kaigata 2B, 9008 Tromsø. Meet 30 minutes before departure.
Bring your ID or passport.
St. Elisabeth Spa Hotel guests only: pickup at 17:30 sharp and drop-off after the tour — on request with at least 24 hours notice.
Duration: approx. 6 hours.
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
